Privacy Policy

1. Overview

NaughtyPDF ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website naughtypdf.com. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have. The most important thing to know upfront: your PDF files are never uploaded to our servers. All PDF processing happens locally in your browser. We never see, receive, or store the documents you process.

2. File Processing — No Server Uploads

NaughtyPDF's tools (Merge PDF, Compress PDF, Rotate PDF, etc.) operate entirely within your browser using JavaScript. When you select a file, it is read into your browser's memory using the browser's built-in File API. It is processed using the pdf-lib and/or PDF.js JavaScript libraries, which run inside the browser sandbox. The output file is generated in memory and offered to you as a download.

At no point during this process is any file data transmitted to NaughtyPDF servers, third-party servers, or any other external service. We do not have access to the contents of any document you process using our tools.

3. Information We Collect Automatically

Like most websites, NaughtyPDF collects standard server access logs when you visit. These logs contain:

• Your IP address
• The page URL you requested
• The date and time of your visit
• Your browser type and operating system (user agent string)
• The referring URL (if you arrived from another site)

These logs are used for security monitoring and aggregate traffic analysis only. We do not use them to identify individual users or build behavioural profiles.

4. Advertising

NaughtyPDF may in the future display advertising to support hosting costs. Any advertising we add will be disclosed on this page and in a cookie notice before it is live. Currently, no third-party advertising scripts are loaded.

5. Cookies

NaughtyPDF itself does not set any first-party cookies. We use browser localStorage only for a single purpose: remembering your in-session tool state (e.g., keeping the file counter across tab refreshes). No cross-site tracking is performed. If third-party advertising is enabled in the future, this section will be updated to reflect any new cookies.

6. No User Accounts

NaughtyPDF does not offer user accounts, registration, or login. We do not collect email addresses, names, or any other personally identifying information through the use of our tools. There are no forms that collect personal data on this site other than the contact page's mailto link.

7. Data Retention

Because we do not receive your files or personal data, there is no user data to retain. Server access logs are retained for up to 90 days for security purposes and then permanently deleted.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under data protection legislation (including GDPR for EU residents and CCPA for California residents) to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Given that we collect only anonymous access logs and do not hold identifiable personal data, most requests will confirm that we hold no data attributable to you. 9. Children's Privacy

NaughtyPDF is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of NaughtyPDF after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
